ePlus Details

ePlus is comprised of three exclusive programs for complete protection for you and your loved ones.

Why ePlus?

Waiting for access to medical services is a Canadian reality.
Picture yourself in the following scenario – one that is only too real for too many:

Your GP refers you to a Specialist due to a persistent abdominal pain. Your appointment is 34 weeks away! Fortunately, you have ePlus coverage. With ePlus, you are able to see the Specialist within 3 weeks. The Specialist advises that further analysis is needed and orders Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)— a 9 week wait. With ePlus, you are able to have the MRI within days.

Based on the results, the Specialist advises exploratory surgery is needed and to expect a minimum 10 week wait. With ePlus, you have your surgery 1 week later.

Expedite your treatment with ePlus

Up to 53 weeks in the public system — as little as 4 weeks with ePlus.

ePlus may be the best insurance decision you will ever make.

Pre-Existing Conditions

It is important to understand what a Pre-Existing Condition is before becoming an ePlus policyholder. After reading this information, if you are unsure whether you have a Pre-Existing Condition, please contact us:

PRE-EXISTING CONDITION LIMITATION Benefits for Medical Access Insurance are limited for any Pre-Existing Condition that existed during the 24 months prior to the Insured Person’s Issue Date of coverage. Medical Access Insurance coverage is not provided for any Pre-Existing Condition until after the Insured Person has been continuously insured for 24 months under this Policy. This limitation does not apply to a newborn who is insured on the date of birth.

“Pre-Existing Condition” means: a) A condition for which an Insured Person is given medical care, treatment, services, medication, diagnosis, diagnostic test or consultation prior to the Insured Person’s effective date of coverage or prior to the effective date of any benefit that is added to existing coverage; or b) A condition which produced symptoms prior to the Insured Person’s effective date of coverage or prior to the effective date of any benefit that is added to existing coverage. These symptoms must be distinct and significant enough to establish onset or manifestation by one of the following tests: i) The symptoms would allow one learned in medicine to make a diagnosis of the disorder; or ii) The symptoms would cause an ordinarily prudent person to seek medical diagnosis or treatment. This includes, but is not limited to any condition for which the Insured Person is already on a Surgical/Procedural Waiting List in Canada.

*Certain conditions may apply.
